SUSAN ELMSLIE was born in Brampton, ON, and lives in Montreal. Her publications include I, Nadja, and Other Poems (Brick, 2006)—winner of the A.M. Klein Poetry Prize—and Museum of Kindness (Brick, 2017). A Hawthornden Poetry Fellow, Susan holds an MA in Canadian Literature (Western) and a PhD in English (McGill). In 2007, “Box” was selected by Parliamentary Poet Laureate John Steffler as the winner of Arc Poetry Magazine’s Poem of the Year contest.
