M. TRAVIS LANE lives in Fredericton, NB. She received her BA from Vassar College and her M. and PhD from Cornell University, taught briefly at Cornell and at the University of New Brunswick, and has been an honorary Research Associate with the English department at UNB for many years. She is a member of the Voice of Women for Peace and a Raging Granny. She has published seventeen books of poetry and was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award in 2015, and received the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Literary Arts in 2017. Her poem “Bird Count” appeared in her collection Crossover in 2015.
