LUCAS CRAWFORD was born in Halifax, raised in rural Nova Scotia, spent a decade away from the Maritimes (in Edmonton, Montreal, and Vancouver), and now lives in Fredericton. Lucas wrote Sideshow Concessions (Invisible 2015), which won the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry, as well as a research monograph entitled Transgender Architectonics (Routledge 2016). As an assistant professor at the University of New Brunswick, Lucas researches fat, food, transgender, and the twentieth-century British novel.
