DENNIS LEE was born in Toronto, where he still lives. He has published some forty books, most recently Melvis and Elvis (2015) and Heart Residence: Collected Poems 1967-2017 (2017). He co-founded House of Anansi Press in 1967, wrote the song lyrics for Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock, and served as Toronto’s first Poet Laureate. As a resident artist at Soulpepper Theatre Company, he initiated the Lost Songs of Toronto cabaret, 2012-2014.
