CARA-LYN MORGAN lives and works in the Toronto area but hails a bit from the prairies and a bit further West. Her first collection of poems, What Became My Grieving Ceremony (Thistledown Press Ltd, 2014) won the Fred Cogswell Award for Excellence in Poetry in 2015. Her work has appeared in a number of literary presses across Canada and her second collection of poems, Cartograph, is set for release by Thistledown Press in the fall. Her work centres strongly around her cultural and ancestral histories, seeking a balance between the histories of her M├ętis mother and Caribbean-Canadian father.
