ANNE COMPTON lives in Rothesay, NB. A poet, essayist, editor, and anthologist, she is the author of four books of poetry, including Processional, winner of the Governor General’s Award for Poetry in 2005. She is the recipient of The Lieutenant-Governor’s Award for High Achievement in the Arts (2014) and The Alden Nowlan Award for Excellence in the Literary Arts (2008). Her most recent book is Afterwork: Essays on Literature and Beauty (2017).
